It is official, my posts have now caught up to my finished models.
The “on my workbench” widget at right could be thought of as “coming attractions”. But it offers no information about how long things may take. I put this notice up because there is no way anything will be done next week. The Wildcat will probably done first, maybe in two weeks.
I’ve got one statistical tidbit for you guys. By far, really by far the most popular post I’ve written was Brewster Buffalo Part II. I’d say check it out, but the numbers look like everyone already has (!). It has more than twice the hits of any other post I’ve done. I suspect its real popularity lies in having no pictures of anything built by me. That, or my Finland readership is just really strong. Actually that may be serious. That post includes many excellent photos of a salvaged Buffalo currently on display at the Central Finland Aviation Museum.
I do have ideas for several articles I would like to write. Including one on accuracy of shooting and validity of claims. Funny we got into a long talk about that a couple weeks ago on my Sturmovik post, I’ve had that on my planning list for two years. So maybe now is a good time to get some other things written… and more models built!
Everything you write Dave is always interesting.
Thanks Pierre, I’ll see what I can come up with!
I don’t want to put too much pressure.
Hi Dave, if you’re only going to do write-ups when you get a model finished there may be – admittedly only going on my own experience -quite a hiatus between posts! Best of luck
Oh yeah, that could happen!
I do have a few ideas for articles that may go up on off weeks. But those may not be steady either.
Historically I finish about two models a month. But there can be lulls and breaks for any number of reasons, like last summer, between a tough spot on a couple builds and a very busy schedule I went three months with no completions.
