Thunder Over Michigan

Just a quick heads up for all aviation nerds in southeast Michigan, don’t forget the big air show this weekend!  Thunder Over Michigan will feature the Thunderbirds, a very rare P-63 Kingcobra, and a large gathering of Texans.  It will be this Saturday and Sunday (8/9 & 8/10) at Willow Run Airport. For more information, and a complete schedule visit the Yankee Air Museum website.

And if you happen to see a chubby, bearded air traffic controller in an orange Chicago Bears t-shirt on Saturday, you’ve met me!

About atcDave

I'm 5o-something years old and live in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I'm happily married to Jodie. I was an air traffic controller for 33 years and recently retired; grew up in the Chicago area, and am still a fanatic for pizza and the Chicago Bears. My main interest is military history, and my related hobbies include scale model building and strategy games.
